This dreamcatcher is so creamy and sparkly with it's gold sequin trim and ric rac. It also has a little fairy jar of a special mix of glitter hanging on it to add that whimsical touch.
Dreamcatchers are made by many Native American artists and people throughout the world, but they originated with the Ojibwe people. It is said that when a dream catcher is hung above the place where you sleep, it catches the dreams as they drift by. The good dreams, knowing their way, pass through the opening in the center of the webbing while the bad dreams, not knowing the way, are caught in the webbing and destroyed at the first light of the morning sun.
Wrapped with leather cord, strung with yummy beads and beautiful yarn and I've added feathers wrapped in gold wire.
*Note: this dreamcatcher has sold, so yours will be made to order. This means yours will vary slightly from the one pictured (i.e. it could have slightly different frills and the beads may be placed differently). If you want to make sure I have something specific, please convo me before you place your order and I will let you know.
This Dreamcatcher is my larger version; the ring measures 7" in diameter with an additional 21 inches in frills and doodads, so about 28" in length total.
